AFF 30th anniversary
The 30th anniversary of the Asociacion Filatelica de Filipinas is what this slogan cancel on a postal card commemorates.
AFF was organized on May 10, 1925, by Don Joaquin Ortiz, who edited the first philatelic magazine in the Philippines, Revista Filatelica Filipinas, which became the official organ of this club.
Many of its members were Spanish-speaking.

2nd APO Philatelic Exhibit
The 2nd APO Philatelic Exhibition was held at the Manila Post Office in 1952.
"The exhibition came as a surprise to everybody who expected to see a bunch of kids putting up an amateurish exhibition," reported the Philippine Journal of Philately. "Instead, they saw college students and professionals who displayed their collections with such seriousness, artistry, and originality as to earn the distinction of presenting one of the finest junior exhibitions here in Manila."
This show was mounted by the Amateur Philatelists Organization (now known as the APO Philatelic Society).

Provident Fund
Provident Fund Office
October 23, 2018
The Philippine Postal Corporation will issue a special “COMMEMORATIVE COVER” on October 12, 2018 in celebration of the “25thAnniversary Philippine Postal Corporation Provident Fund Office”. It will have slogan-cancelled in Manila.
The Provident Fund was created under the Philippine Postal Corporation to maximize the payment of benefits of PHLPost employees and officials. It was established on October 14, 1993 per PHLPost Board Resolution No. 93-116.
The Provident Fund is a source of quick loan to cover unexpected financial needs of postal employees; thereby discouraging them from going to private financiers and preserving their dignity as PHLPost employees.
On November 11, 2003, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo finally granted Post Facto approval of the creation of the Philippine Postal Corporation-Provident Fund Office. Thereat, the approval of the provident fund was subjected to the following conditions:
1. The employer’s counterpart to the Fund should not exceed 5% of the employee’s basic salary.
2. The employees shall be given the discretion to decide the amount of their contribution to the fund; and
3. The herein approval of the President shall be strictly effected in accordance with applicable budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations.
2. The employees shall be given the discretion to decide the amount of their contribution to the fund; and
3. The herein approval of the President shall be strictly effected in accordance with applicable budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations.
In 2008, 50% of the outstanding corporate share was returned to PHLPost in compliance with the order of the Commission on Audit. The other 50% remained in the books of the Provident Fund Office and lodged as additional capital of the fund amounting to Php69,715,106.45.
Today the PPC-Provident Fund Office continues to strive and help Postal employees.
The commemorative cover, designed by, Victorino Z. Serevo, will be sold at thirty pesos (PHP 30) per piece. Commemorative covers will be available for sale starting onOctober 12, 2018 at the Philatelic counter, Manila Central Post Office, Liwasang Bonifacio, 1000, Manila.

2nd Leyte stamp exhibit
A triangular "stamp" of the Tacloban Philatelic Club's logo predates the first triangle stamps of the Philippines!
Oh well, this slogan cancel was used in Tacloban from October 1 to 21, 1951 for the 2nd Leyte Provincial Stamp Exhibition held from October 12 to 21.
Anyone knows when the 1st Leyte Provincial Stamp Exhibition was held?

FSCC auction October 2018
More than 30 bidders participated in today's auction sale of the Filipinas Stamp Collectors' Club held at Manila.
Over 500 philatelic and nonphilatelic lots were offered.
Pictured here is an item I got at this auction--a victory postal card addressed to renowned Philippine philatelist Don Pablo M. Esperidion and cancelled on November 2,1945 at Globe, Arizona.
The message includes a mention of the Rizal Philatelic Unit. My guess is that this was a study group of a stamp club; perhaps the American Philatelic Society. The APS after the sender's name supports my hunch.
There is no Return to Sender marking, so maybe it entered the mailstream.

Someone who attended the party and auction sale of the Philippine Philatelic Auction Club's 12th anniversary celebration said he remembers well the good food served during this event.
Someone else pasted this ticket on an envelope and had it cancelled on October 9 -- foundation day of PPAC.

Health Wealth slogan
A slogan that will likely be true for all time has been used as a cancellation from August 16 to 25, 1954.
As there is a double cross illustrated before the lines "The People's Health is the Nation's Wealth" and the dates Aug. 19 to Sept. 30, 1954, this should be related to the Anti-Tuberculosis Drive for Funds conducted on the same dates and for which a slogan cancel was also used in Manila.

World Post Day 2018
PRESS RELEASE: PHLPost celebrates World Post Day, urges student to write letters
October 9, 2018 Posted By: Corp.Comm
Today, October 9, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will celebrate World Post Day by encouraging the students to write letters to their beloved teachers.
Schools nationwide will take part in the nationwide “Salamat Po (Thank you) Teacher” raffle promo and competition. The goal is to “effectively promote the value of gratitude to teachers who have done most, apart from their parents in shaping their future to become better persons in society.
World Post Day was declared by the 1969 Universal Postal Congress in Tokyo as a means to mark the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union’s (UPU) creation in 1874.
The purpose of World Post Day is to bring awareness to the postal service’s role in everyday lives of people and businesses, as well as its contribution to global social and economic development. PHLPost is an active member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a specialized agency of the United Nations who has a membership of about 192 postal administrations in countries worldwide.
The postal service is inviting elementary, junior and senior high school students to write and mail letters of gratitude.
Those who are interested to join will just have to write a “Thank You” letter to their teachers. These letters must be sealed in an envelope where the complete details of the sender and addressee are clearly written and visible.
The “thank you” letters should be mailed via the Post Office through the Ordinary Mail Service, using the theme: “4A’s of Gratitude: Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, and Attention.” Awards and cash prizes await the raffle and competition winners.
Aside from the raffle draw, students will have the chance to participate in the regional and national letter writing competition. The winner in the national competition will also represent the Philippines in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Letter Writing Contest in Berne, Switzerland to compete from among the 192 countries who are also members of the UPU.
Unfazed by the advent of technology, PHLPost has come up with an innovative idea to bring letter writing to schools. For particulars, please visit the official FB page: https://www.facebook.com/SalamatPoLetterWriting/.

APO auction October 2018
Although this looks like a first day cover, it's not.
From what's printed, this was for the Philatelic Triple Treat of the Quezon City Philatelic Society held from November 28 to 30, 1993 at the Quezon City Central Post Office. Were you there? "Triple Treat" sounds interesting; what was it all about? The four signatures are probably of QCPC officers, but needs to be confirmed.
Got this item in today's auction sale of the APO Philatelic Society held at Manila. Fifteen bidders participated and a total of 430 lots, philatelic and nonphilatelic, were offered.
[The 1993 Philatelic Week FDCs were cancelled on November 22.]

The AFF also printed a souvenir sheet for Chrisquapipex.
