Republic 2nd anniversary

A special occasion cachet used by the post office was for the second anniversary of the Republic of the Philippines on July 4, 1948.

On this cacheted cover it comes with the first stamp of the republic issued in 1946.

special flight cover

This is a flight cover of the Atlas Sky Merchant DC-4 Special Flight Around Manila postmarked March 13, 1948 in Manila and backstamped Rizal City on the same day.
The former town of Pasay became Rizal City in 1947 but changed its name to Pasay City in 1950.

APO silver anniversary

For the 1975 set of two stamps marking the 25th anniversary of the APO Philatelic Society, the first day covers were cancelled at three post offices: Manila, Iloilo City and Cebu City.
Shown here is the FDC for the 5-sentimo value cancelled at the Manila Post Office.
The APO Silverpex was held at the Manila Central Post Office from November 24 to 30, 1975.

Chrisquapipex cover

Here's an interesting Chrisquapipex cover: It uses a United Nations souvenir sheet!

If you recall, the Asociacion Filatelica de Filipinas was made a philatelic agent of the UN beginning with this exhibit.

Awardees of Chrisquapipex, the Christianization Quatercentennial Philippine International Philatelic Exhibition, include Don Jesus Cacho (International Grand Award "for the rarest philatelic material in the show"), Rogelio de Jesus (the Mexican "Año de Amistad" Silver Medal), Ysmael 'Boy' Inductivo (the American Topical Association Merit Award), and Rizal's Story In Stamps (Gold, literature category).

Springpex 91

Here is a Springpex '91 show cover signed by Juan Co (president of Filipino-Chinese Philatelic Society), Wilson Te (president of Chinese Philatelists), and Carlos Inductivo (president of the Philippine Philatelic Auction Club).
According to a pencilled notation on the back, there are only four such covers signed by all three presidents.

The exhibit was held at Manila from February 2 to 8, 1991.
