20th APOPEX card

Here's an APOPEX souvenir card printed "in conjunction with the visit of Pope Paul VI" with a 10s papal stamp and a 1970 Philatelic Week stamp cancelled on their respective first days of issue. On the back side is a serial number.

The 20th APOPEX (philatelic exhibition of the APO Philatelic Society) was held at the Bureau of Posts building from November 15 to 30, 1970.

The Philippine Philatelic Federation's First National Thematic and Youth Philatelic Exhibition was held at the Manila Central Post Office from August 9 to 14, 1993.

Theme of the exhibit was "People Empowerment Through Philately".

Incidentally, the Philippine Philatelic Federation had just been incorporated in 1993 as a nonprofit, nonstock organization.

Manna Filatelica V card

As written on the back, the exhibition venues were Laoag City, Vigan, Candon, San Fernando City, Dagupan City, Urdaneta City and San Fernando (Pampanga). 

These were held on different dates from September 17 to December 15, 1999.

Rizalcipex, the Rizal Centennial International Philatelic Exhibition, was held at Manila from June 10 to 26, 1961.

This privately-issued "souvenir sheet" (more like a souvenir card) illustrates three Dr. Jose Rizal stamps of the USPI, Commonwealth, and Republic periods. On the back is printed a serial number.

UN 1980 exhibit

A souvenir card for the United Nations Week 1980 Philatelic Exhibition held at Manila from October 20 to 26.

This was issued by the then Bureau of Posts.

POSTPEX '82 souvenir card cancelled

Here's a POSTPEX '82 large souvenir card cancelled with a 40s stamp.

The October 9, 1982 slogan cancellation was applied at the Manila Central Post Office.

Two types of POSTPEX '82 souvenir cards issued by the Philippine Philatelic Auction Club on the occasion of its 5th year anniversary.

The P5 card is inscribed "Issued with the cooperation of..." and the P4 card doesn't have that inscription, but both illustrate "The First Stamp of each era of Philippine Philately, 1854 thru 1946.

DAVPEX '83 souvenir cards

These were the DAVPEX '83 souvenir cards, printed on one side and cancelled on the other, in blue and green.

I believe 1,000 of each color were printed, but I don't know how many were cancelled with a stamp.

V-PEX

V-PEX, the Victory Philatelic Exhibition, was held at Manila from October 20 to 22, 1945.

Yes, sir, philately was alive before, during and after the Second World War.

This exhibit, reported to be the first after the Japanese occupation, was held by the Philippine Philatelic Club to commemorate the first anniversary of the Leyte D-Day, the landing of American troops on that island.

The postal card and cover shown above were cancelled on October 20, 1945, the first day of the exhibition, which was held at the Arias Building. Both also have the official commemorative cachet handstamped in black.

These are not difficult to find, even after 70 years!
