Over 500 philatelic and nonphilatelic lots were offered.
Pictured here is an item I got at this auction--a victory postal card addressed to renowned Philippine philatelist Don Pablo M. Esperidion and cancelled on November 2,1945 at Globe, Arizona.
The message includes a mention of the Rizal Philatelic Unit. My guess is that this was a study group of a stamp club; perhaps the American Philatelic Society. The APS after the sender's name supports my hunch.
There is no Return to Sender marking, so maybe it entered the mailstream.
