The corporation invited LGU's Chief Executives of stamps issued, stamp enthusiasts, government employees, and students from nearby schools to join the event.

Philpex 83 cover
A combination first day cover for Philatelic Week 1993 and show cover for Philpex '93, the Philippine Philatelic Exhibition held at the Manila Central Post Office from Nov. 22 to 27, 1993.
It says Philpex '93 was an exhibit of the International Philippine Philatelic Society in cooperation with the Philpost, United Nations Postal Administration, Cebu Philatelic Society, Quezon City Philatelic Society and Young Philatelists' Society.
Looks like the signature is that of Edison G. Cornejo of the YPS. There's an EGC beside the IPPS logo at left so he must have designed this show cover.

FSCC auction April 2018
Got this slogan postal card from today's auction sale of the Filipinas Stamp Collectors' Club held at Manila.
This slogan was used to advertise Panapex, the First Pan Asian Philatelic Exhibition held at Manila from November 16 to 29, 1952, an event that elicited a presidential proclamation before it was held. A report of the exhibit says 600 frames of local and foreign material were displayed by some 60 exhibitors. Hundreds came to the show daily.
Today's auction drew more than two dozen bidders, including long-time Philippine philatelist Antonio So. A total of 510 lots were offered. Seen waiting for someone was Philippine Philatelic Journal editor Hans Becker who came all the way from Cebu...and when Philippine Philatelic Federation president Rey Ong showed up, both left the scene. Rumors have it that a "national stamp club" is being organized!

APO auction April 2018
Shown here are 267 used stamps of the US including 24 pairs, four of which are se-tenant, three strips of 3, two strips of 4, three blocks of 4, one of which is se-tenant, one block of 6, one block of eight composed of se-tenant pairs, and a booklet pane of 8. The lone Philippine stamp was a welcome surprise!
This lot was hammered down to me for.....guess what.....36 pesos (!) during today's auction of the APO Philatelic Society held at Manila. It was sold in a sealed glassine envelope, so no one knew exactly what the contents were.
Some two dozen bidders participated in this 462-lot sale offering philatelic and nonphilatelic items. There was some kind of a rally outside at the Liwasang Bonifacio with a louder volume for the microphone than that of the auctioneer's!
