So, what did I win in today's auction of the Filipinas Stamp Collectors' Club?
One lot of 8 Philippine covers including this FDC for the Parish of Saint Louis Bishop stamp of 1995 with a show cancel for LUCBANPEX 1, a philatelic exhibit held from May 13 to 16, 2005 at the church compound.
On its back side is written "autographed by officers and members of Q.P.C." (which stands for Quezon Philatelic Club). There are 23 signatures.
According to Q.P.C., there is no Lucban Philatelic Club stated in the show cancel and the May 17 date is an error. Pahiyas Festival is celebrated on May 15.
Some 20 bidders participated in the sale that offered over 530 philatelic and numismatic lots. There was a new bidder; he said he came from New Zealand. Dropping by to chat with collectors was stamp dealer Ysmael "Boy" Inductivo.
Overall, the results were more than expected considering another auction was also being conducted at the same time in Quezon City.
