first Rizal stamp

The first Filipino to be portrayed on a stamp is Dr. Jose Rizal.

This was issued during the US Administration, initially in 1906 and subsequently in later years.

The 2 centavos shown above came out in two types of watermarks (and unwatermarked), three types of perforations (10, 11 and 12, and imperforate), three colors (green, deep green, and yellow green), as booklet panes of 6, and in coils.
