Coming out bimonthly, the Spenders Stamp News was published by Spenders Philippine Stamps of Manila.
"The SSN is not a club paper," said Felifranco R. Luto, editor and writer. "To PSC members, this stamp news will be a supplement to Hobby Time."
(PSC was the Philippine Stamp Collectors.)

All were mimeographed copies.
By the time of the July-August 1982 edition, the editor was Linda C. Stanfield (who also wrote a philatelic column for the Youngster magazine).
