To promote the stamp hobby in general, and Philippine philately in particular, I wrote a newspaper column called Filatelic Fun.
It appeared periodically nearly 300 times, first on the pages of Mindanao Gold Star Daily, published in Cagayan de Oro City, from 2004 to 2010, and then on the pages of Gold Star News, published in Tagum City, in 2011.
I wrote about stamp collections, identifying stamps, kinds of issues, semipostals, paper types, collector's accessories, shapes of stamps, stamp nicknames, classification of stamps, philatelic terminology, stamp color, getting started in stamp collecting, CTOs, philatelic shows, lectures, topical collecting, philatelic periodicals, taking care of stamps, the appeal of stamps, country collections, key types, dead countries, new issues, philatelic history, ZIP codes, the National Stamp Collecting Month, stamp design contests, mourning stamps, occupation stamps, bogus issues, branches of philately, souvenir sheets, Filipiniana issues, auctions, stamp dealing, greetings stamps, franchise stamps, stamp clubs, provisional stamps, the Penny Black, philatelic websites, cachets, perfins, philatelic literature, joint issues, surcharges, and a lot more!
