Boxing fans watched on TV the title fight broadcast live from Malaysia, thousands trooped to the Luneta for a religious gathering, and those bitten by the stamp bug went to the auction sale of the Filipinas Stamp Collectors' Club held at Manila this afternoon.
Got a block of four official Commonwealth stamps with a variety on the top left stamp: Lowercase H in WEALTH.
A few new faces were among the 30 or so participating bidders who fought for some 500 philatelic and nonphilatelic lots. There was a brownout, so the auctioneer was microphone-less. Nevertheless he was heard by all!
